PCB mulls holding PSL 10 from April to May next year due to Champions Trophy

The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) was planning to host the 10th edition of the Pakistan Super League (PSL) from April 7 to May 20 next year, along with the Champions Trophy scheduled in February.

According to details, a meeting was held between the PCB and the franchise owners to take stock of the 10th edition of the tournament.

The PCB has made suggestions to increase interest in the premium tournament in the country. The PCB has offered to host PSL matches in Karachi, Multan and Rawalpindi.

Additionally, the PCB will also explore additional venues for the tournament.

The Cricket Board has also proposed that four playoff series be held at neutral venues.

It was also emphasized that it is necessary to make changes to the conditions of the tournament in order to attract as many fans as possible to participate in the tournament.

“PSL coverage has received an extra boost this time in terms of media rights and live coverage. PSL has been touted as the most successful brand in the world,” PCB said.
