Doha's Hamad International Airport has been named the best airport in the world, according to a study conducted by London-based research firm Skytrax. The airport received this prestigious recognition at the World Airport Awards 2024 held during the Passenger Terminal Expo in Frankfurt, Germany.

The title was previously held by Singapore's Changi Airport, but this year Hamad International Airport took the top spot. This is the third time the airport has received this award, having also received this award in 2021 and 2022.

The award was based on the results of a comprehensive global survey conducted from August 2023 to February 2024. Travelers rated their experiences in various areas, including check-in procedures, shopping, security, immigration and departure process.

Changi Airport, although no longer holds the title of the best airport in the world, still stands out in Asia and is praised for its exceptional immigration services, considered the best in the world. Additionally, Crowne Plaza Changi Airport Hotel was named Best Airport Hotel for the ninth time.
